TephraXMOD V2
Tephra,
Could you PM me your email address to send you the payment/ask you a few questions about when my ROM will be available/what I can do to help. I have a 2010 SE with the SST. I've tuned several VIII/IXs (most of them running some form of tephramod v7) and a fair amount of X's in my area, if you need someone to help with the beta testing of the ROM I'd love to help. I tried sending you a PM, but your box is full.
This is the following info I got when I custom imported the factory ROM through ECUflash, idk if this will help at all or if the SE has a different ROM than the MR, if I had to guess, they'd be running the same ROM since they both have launch control and super sport mode:
Internal ID: 55580009
Inherits: 5558006
Also, for us to get active/passive boost control to function properly, would I be required to run two grimmspeed ebc's?
I have the money ready for this ROM and my VIN ready. I just wasn't sure where to donate/wanted to make sure I was doing everything right.
Thanks,
Tim

anyone have success with the launch maps? NLTS works perfect but no luck with launch maps yet.
i built the launch fuel and launching timing map but no luck. it acts like i didn't enable launch maps or something.
clutch in, first gear, put throttle to floor. timing map stays ~20* at 5500 rpm rather than my requested -15*.

Whats your NLTS settings? Have you logged when performing the NLTS?
I ran into a lean condition when I had the min rpm set lower than launch rpm causing some super lean issues between normal shifts. I've put it back to the default 6500 and tested it a couple times and seems to work although I shift so fast its hard to say it even engaged lol. Car held 15psi on my EF4 from 3rd to 4th but I think rpm was lower than the 1000rpm rpm drop setting. I am pretty sure it was 5500 or so but I shifted at 7600 so it should have bounced at 6600.
yea i didn't actually launch, just tested & logged in the garage to see what timing, afr and boost would be.
my NLTS settings are as follows
RPM Drop on NLTS: 1500
Minimum Speed requried for NLTS: 10
Maximum RPM required for NLTS: 5500
Maximum Speed for Launch Maps: 0
Minimum TPS required for NLTS or Launch Maps: 79.7
&
Stationary Rev Limiter: 5500
hmm, maybe you are right. i'm looking at my log where i tested NLTS.
i'm in 3rd gear, shifted at 7304 rpm with throttle never lifting. i shifted early and look a bit longer than normal to grab gear on purpose. RPM looks to have hit 7710 briefly, dropped down to 5304 & 5492 then before i got back off the clutch.
so, maybe it is hitting the 5500 limiter instead of -1500 rpm but those two points were close together so i will have to change limiter to 4500 and rpm drop to 1000 and test again.
during the NLTS process the boost was at ~19psi at 7304 rpm, dipped to 17 during the NLTS period at 5304 and 5492 rpm, then up to 25.8psi once 4th gear was grabbed.
the AFR was good at the top end of 4th, then it did read peak lean (19.4) during the transition, then it snapped back quickly one i grabbed 4th.

Maximum RPM required for NLTS: 5500

Stock turbo I presume, what kind of boost did you build? Care to share your launch maps for a visual?
Anymore testing on NLTS?
With my lean between shift experience I am wondering how it would work with a large turbo needing a higher stationary rev limit of say 6700 and the NLTS min rpm being less than the stationary set at say 6500 and/or the rpm drop setting going below the stationary limit. I'm just not really sure what caused my car to go dead lean on shifts when TPS wasn't a constant 79% or higher doing a 3rd to 4th pull lifting to shift.
I have an EF4 but I've never launched it to know the sweet spot. I suppose I need to find some time to play with it more. To bad these particular settings aren't live tunable that would save time and flashes.
