I'm having problems connecting to the OBD port using a 2.0 cable on EvoScan. Anyone have any suggestions?

 

I'm having a similar issue. I get the ftd2xx.dll error message. After searching on here I copied the file into my system32 folder and I'm still encountering the same issue. I've uninstalled and reinstalled both ecuflash and evoscan multiple times to no results.

I can connect in ecuflash just fine, I only get the error in evoscan, which I just started using last night. My tuner had no problem using evoscan last weekend but I don't know which cable he was using. Also, he was on his computer.

Was wondering if it was a problem with the IX and the 2.0 cable or if maybe there's another driver file I need to move around.

 

Each serial to USB cable is different and a lot of them don't work.

We've found that the Gigaware Cable from RadioShack works the best. The Staples one didn't work for us.

 

tactrix comes with a monoprice cable, and I've used that with both ECUFlash and EvoScan

 

If it is any help to anyone, I was chasing my tail with the ftd2xx.dll error ^^.
I ended up downloading the older version (http://openecu.org/downloads/ecuflash_1422595_win.exe)
I installed and ran ecuflash, the drivers were loaded. I went back the tactrix site to download and install version 1.44.3721
