First off, my car can legally pass ny obd2 emissions cat and all systems are in place. My concern is the rom id, as I really don't want to risk getting flagged for a mismatched id.

My stock I'd is 88590015, so will the v7 show up as 88590715? Or is that just how we identify them?

Anyone have first hand experience?

I didn't keep my stock rom tune up to date so I'd have a lot of building to do is I'm gonna have to use it?..

 

I passed jan 3rd with a tephra rom id. 3d sd..

there is a way to change the rom id however.

Ma was the only one doing the rom id inspections to my knowledge

and I just plugged it in because I run a vi-pec.

just keep a safe rom handy if youre nervous. You just have to drive it to the station, and flash again. or get a spare ECU (shameless plug I have one for sale ) lol

Yup. 88592175. And I plugged it in , in their parking lot lol.

Are you in NYC area? They have different emissions I think..

 

no im outside the city.

i took a chance, and wound up passing no issue. too ad i have to transfer my reg to another state by june...
