Maf Comp vs Latency question

Thanks for the tip, I've always wanted to try the silicone intake as in I heard they work so much better then the steel ones. I like the hps one for the look of it, haha, but I'm pretty sure for performance they're all about equal.

Both tables do exactly the same thing. I ended up setting the MAF compensation to all 128 and then retuning the entire MAF scaling table over the entire MAF Hz range. I found this to be the easier way to create a smooth curve with no unintended spikes or steps. Remember that the car needs to be at steady TPS, load, and rpm for a few seconds before the STFT gives an applicable value. And make sure that the LTFTs aren't changing.

for example if the STFT is -8 at given Hz, shoud I lower that value by 8% ?

The MAF scaling is more sensitive than that. It should be linear, but its not. For -8% average STFT, I'd probably try lowering the value by 4%.

i'm about 95% done doing this very thing again with a new set of injectors on my own car. my curve was already in pretty good shape, so it took perhaps about four hours of logging, analyzing, and tweaking. definitely helps to have a long steady hill with no traffic. a load bearing dyno would be the hot ticket for getting this done quickly. could probably dial it in at 15 points in about 1 hour.

Im running the fic 1100 high z's like you were and I love them. A little loud but I can live with that. I have a self rebuilt 9 turbo with a 20g extended tip billet wheel and a 11.5cm turbine (it was balanced after assembly yes). Im @ 25 psi at 70-80 idc lol so im good for now too but what turbo do you have right now? Again, I'm jw.

I have my head built to handle that kind of boost but my defi only goes up to 30 so I never tried to tune above 28ish to be safe. Do you have a boost gauge that goes higher then 30????

but a gauge on the dash to monitor that level of boost or no? I know you can data log it but a gauge would be nice.

Have a gauge but it stops reading after about 26 psi and no time to look at it when hauling ***. Tune it well and forget about looking it.
