Need Help

I had the car fully apart ( Wiring harness out of the car) and now I get this when trying to read rom or flash rom! Also the OBD Scan tool can not find ecu? I have no problem reading another car so I know its not my laptop or cable!

[18:46:32.703] J2534 API Version: 04.04 [18:46:32.703] J2534 DLL Version: 0.50.2598 (DEBUG) Jun 26 2009 15:02:29

[18:46:37.687] sending init sequence 1 (0003)
[18:46:40.890] sending init sequence 1 (FFFF)
[18:46:43.593] no response to any known code
[18:46:43.593] interface close

I have check grounds however I do believe I missed a ground somewhere! Any help would be much appreciated!

do you have power and ground at the DLC port? Is the comm's wire from the DLC to the ECU intact?

With just plugging in the tactrix cable it does have power because the lights on the cable come on! I am checking all the grounds today! But when you flash a car you always here a click! I am not hearing that click!

Ok I tested the ecu in another car and it worked perfect. Also tried relays under hood. I'm lost

Did you ensure the wire between ecu and dlc port was intact?

The wire connected to dlc is good. I did find that pin 26 to the ecu doesn't have 12volts.

Most likely battery is a bit low and voltage isn't quite high enough to allow the ECU to be flashed/read. I get the same error when that's the case with mine in winter.

It is not the battery. We have a charger on it plus the OBD scan tool can't connect. So it isn't finding the ecu as well.

Found a short on fuse 6 in the junction box under the dash. Had to rewire it with a fuseable link.
