Create Evo3 fresh ROM file 96532706
Hey guys,
i did an adapter harness for my evo3 and car runs fine beside of the boost control, my wastegate solenoid somehow doesnt works.
My ECU is an Evo7 one MR560648
Anyway i want a fresh working Rom adaptation for my evo3 and thought i may ask if there is someone willing to help me to get the values over from the rom i got from the early evo forum, i think its the one from evonut270 with Rom ID 96530006.
The difficulty i am facing here is that a few things may have changed and the scaling is in kPa instead of % or Fahrenheit instead of Celcius.
Regards

I did a similar project 4 years ago, the stock E7 rom should work fine, or use the Tephra 9055 v5.1. Use the injector scaling/latency found in the evonut rom. I had hard time attempting to scale maf, I ended up installing a MAF from a newer evo (4-9).
2G DSM MAF and Evo 1-3 MAF are the same and can be used with the Evo 8 ECU. It's just a matter of transferring the right MAF configs. over to the 8 rom. Been running my Evo 1 on an 8 ECU with stock MAF for 5 years now.
I run 96530706 V7 on evo3 years ago but with evo 8 ecu. pm me your email and I can send you that working rom with rescaled maf, 510 injectors, tuned fuel/ignition maps etc.
you may have to adapt your maf scaling, fuel/timing tables for your car though

yes!
finally i have good base file which works fine, even the boost control/wastegate is working now altough not perfect but its okay for now =).
Big Thanks go to stunt2 for his great rom file with Launch Control (y)
But i still have a small problem with the boost control, when i hit boost my wastegate/boost is fluttering between 1.0 to 1.2 bar.
similar to this video from 5 to 7 seconds

I still have the stock setup wastegate solenoid which ive removed the restrictor inside, with the stock evo3 ecu i have a boost from 0.9 bar to 1bar peek but its stable and not fluttering.
Im running an Apexi Cone filter and have a BOV which looks like a Forge but i think its a cheap knockoff (was on car when bought)
Is my Problem anyhow regarded to the ECU Wastegate settings, anyone familiar with it here?
Or just get a 3Port/TriPort Pierburg Solenoid and come back here again?
