Why not just use the 100% throttle position mr. marieno?

 

The advantage of not using the throttle position is that you can switch maps while the engine is running when using a standalone switch

Did you just adjust the settings in the Main Maps? This isn't in Launch Maps correct? Just making sure

 

This would be for the Main map. To get the popping and back firing while shifting and lifting of the throttle wouldn't work with the launch maps be cause it disables at a speed you set it at.

 

Was this with e85 or regular gas?

 

Sorry for bringing this old post up. Im running tephras v7 9653 rom Ive been doing tons of reading. Im trying to make my evo 8 pop n bang a bit ( I know its ricer &#128523 do I need to get Ziad's patch to make this work?

You need the patch to allow -15/-20 timing so the unburnt fuel goes into the exhaust.

 

-10 on that rom listed. evo ix roms have -20.

If you can use an SAS rom you don't get fuel cut on overrun.
