As a rom developer myself (subaru), I realize how much work goes into adding features like this to the stock ecu code. Big thanks to David for making flex fuel possible on the EVO X! Im hoping my kit can make it that much easier to make the switch to flex fuel. Ive tuned a fair amount of cars on flex this past year and its a pretty amazing concept. Its awesome to simply drive up to a gas pump, pump a different fuel in, and drive away with 100+ more horsepower.

One snag that I did come across is that the AUDM EVO X doesn't have the fuel tank pressure connection like USDM cars. Because of this, my kit is USDM only right now. Im working on a simple solution for AUDM guys though so hopefully I can get that figured out soon.

@razorlab, I was able to tap into the evap purge valve 12v source for the plug-and-play. This worked out perfectly as this is an MFI relay switched 12v and its fairly close to the fuel pump sender. I use the fuel tank pressure sensor ground so as to have a clean sensor ground which reduces the possibility for voltage offset from the module to the ECU.

Thanks!

Jason

Where is this located ????

Got my new Flex Fuel harness. Thanks to Jason @ Flexconverter.com for sending it out so fast.

Now I can get the Ethanol sensor out of the engine bay, which will clean it up.

Hello Tephra!

How do I order V3 easiest?

Is it enough with ROM number or you will also need chassis number?

Thanks Henrik/Sweden

If you are on a tephra V2 ROM it's $50, if you are on a vanilla or V1 tephra ROM its $100 per his website. What you need to do is PayPal him the money and in the notes state the year and model (MR/GSR) and the VIN for the car so he can encode the ROM for your specific car. You'll then receive the ROM and an associated XML in your email within a day or two typically.

Is his PayPal just "tephra"? Or is his email available? Could not find it on the website. And once I get the items mentioned above after the payment what other hardware is required to get the full flex fuel capabilities, sorry really new at this and I am aware a tune is required. Please let me know any information that would benefitial to a rookie. Thank you so much!

Send payment via PayPal to: donations @ globalshare.net (remove the spaces I did that to deter web crawlers grabbing the address). When PayPal looks up the email address it will show his name as David Shirley so you'll know its correct.

Also make sure you include the VIN of your car and if it is a GSR or MR because they are different ROM's.

Flexconverter.com has a plug and play kit for the Evo X that makes flex conversion simple with V3.
