Constant Data Logging?

In light of my recent engine failure (cracked piston, bent valves, possible digested turbo) I was wondering if there was a way to constantly datalog? That is, start logging at engine start and stop logging at engine shut off.

I did a fairly small pull, and without the logs its difficult to determine what the fault was.
