Good day, I currently have an Evo7 engine and ecu in an Evo CP9A Evo5. The car previously had a Haltec but when bought it was taken off an the Stock JDM Evo7 Ecu was placed.

The rom used has no XML to match, so we flashed the Stock 7 Ecu using the Tactrix Cable, scaled the PTE 1000CC injectors to suit.

The car tumbles and starts but cuts off after a few seconds, can anyone give any possibilities or advice on this issue be it idle settings or manifold ideas since I have the AMS VSR intake manifold.

The rom used is the 9339000.

 

To use a 7 ecu in a 5 you need to do some wire swaps , use 90550001 rom

move pin 20 to 32
21 to 34
6 to 53

disconnect pin 87

switch off egr and immobiliser in the periphery

 

Do you have a MAF sensor/housing installed & connected? If the car had a Haltec before then I bet it ran a speed density map.

 

Would the wiring need to change because the car has a tuned map on it currently which works good however the tune is not safe and the idling is very rough.

When I try to use a stock map then the tumbling, starting and cutting off occurs now, when we switch back to the old map car idles and remains running.

 

The car previously with the Haltec and currently without it runs the MAF sensor. Thanks thought for the heads up

 

The car has a tune on the ecu so I guess switching the wires should not be an issue. What is the reason for the wire switch though?

 

Rad fans , egr and sad solenoid swapped on 7 ecu , 87 is ayc on 7 ecu and tps idle switch on 5 ecu

 

9417 rom works fine too
