I am trying to find a definition file for my 98 Mitsubishi Mirage DE automatic, INTERNAL ID 21550007. I have searched everywhere online and cannot find one. I also contacted tactrix support and they were unable to help me. Is there anybody out there that has this definition file? Or would someone be willing to make it for me? Im happy to pay for it.

Anybody have a suggestion on how to reflash my ecu? I cant find the definition for my specific ROM

 

I have a ROM and definition for a 1999 Mirage DE that seems very similar to mine. When i open my 1998 mirage file with the 1999 definition, the column and row axis are off, but most of the data appears correctly.
Would it brick my ecu if I tried to write the stock 1999 ROM to my 1998 ECU?

 

If the 1998 and 1999 ECUs are different part numbers then it's not worth it to just "try it out" imo. You likely would not brick it but you could get all sorts of chaotic behavior if the memory layout is different. You really need the exact definition for the ECU you're trying to tweak.

I was never able to find a definition file for my stock 1998 ROM, but i successfully flashed a 1999 ROM into my ECU. Everything works as it should, and im now able to tune it with the 99 definition. I dont have access to very much, and the tables are very basic, but at least I have spark and VE. Seems like there isnt much support for the 1.5L Mirage

So i have a 01 mirage 4g93 with a gt3071r turbo attached to it, I know some of the lancers had a 4g93t. Would I be possible to take the rom from a such Lancer and flash it into my ecu? Or does the ecu in the mirage not have the memory required.? Or how does that work? I just need to be able to tune this car I don't want it to blow up. Yet.. 😆

Also, whered you get that 99 definition from?

 

I wouldnt try using a lancer rom because it could brick the Mirage ECU. There are plenty of 1.8L Mirage definitions out there if you look hard enough. Theres a good chance you can find a definition that matches your ROM id. Here is a site that has a few

That's the forum I've been trying to join for days now!! I cannot look at anything I'm interested in until an admin figures out what I've got going on.. says I need an account verification email but I've never gotten an email in the 15 times I tried. I'm now finding out that the 01-02 auto mirage has he same SH2 ecu as a evo9 so I'm able to use the rom of an evo9... still need to get some definitions

 

If you can tell me the ROM ID (internal ID) from your stock Mirage ECU I could probably find you a definition.
