as I was looking to find the correct definition files for my EDM Evo IX, I've noticed that my ECUs ROM ID is quiet odd. It reads "E9000390" while I was expecting something like "88840017".
Looking at the Hex Values in the .bin file the id should start at F52, which shows the value E9000390.
ECUFlash throws the usual "Unknown ROM Image" message and when I ask it to inherit from another definition file it also displays the Identifier "E9000390".
So what I've done now is to create a copy of the TephraMod file 88840617.xml and changed the ID in the file to E9000390, so I can view the ECU contents, but I don't dare to change anything unless I'm 100% sure that I'm using the right definition file for my ECU.
Has anyone seen such an odd ECU ID?
Is this an indication of the previous owner having some changes done by a tuner?
What would be the best course of action at this point?
