odd timing

odd timing

wanted to get some ideas here, in evoscan 97 logs i see timing up to 5 degrees more than the highest timing anywhere on my timing maps

are you comparing the timing values to the timing in the high octane timing map?

yah, but i am seeing timing in the logger and through an obd2 scanner that is well above the highest timing values in my high octane timing map

Show us the logs / Timing Map..

Are you modifying the High Octane Timing #2 map?

What amount is displayed on the log and map that is 5 degrees different. What load, RPM and TPS?

He doesnt have a IX with all those extra uneeded timing maps (JK I'm jealous)

I have seen the same thing multiple times on my IX as well. I am modifying High Octane Map #2 and the highest number I have in the cells is 38. I have noticed that these "high" timings seem to only occur in closed loop mode during cruise or deceleration so I don't think the ECU is even referring to these maps that are being modified. Here's an excerpt:
