Adjusted idle error tables to start with 0 and go up to 8
Raised idle stability timing control sensitivity to 150
Hi Paul, finally a solution to my problem! I haven't tried it out yet, but I wanted to know where are these two tables found?

"idle error tables "
"idle stability timing control sensitivity "

Thanks a lot!

I had mundo idle issues on this rom coming from 96940011... with idle and AC.
Where I never did before.

Then my AC pump locked up last week. So I just removed AC. Car has never run better.

(41k on the car.)

Would you happen to know where I can get the definitions for these tables on the 96940011 ecu?

I wish i did...But since you have an VIII you should be able to convert over to the 94170015 ROM rather easily. If you decide to give it a shot....I can hook you up with my ROM in stock form. I have every patch, fix, and finding to date.

Isnt that an 03 rom? I thought the rom had to come from a car that has the acd for it to work properly.

I like appauledd's method, my car has been staying on with the A/C in use for longer than it ever has. The only thing is I need the "idle error" tables ported over.

These are mine. Keep in mind I have the stability raised and have done timing adjustments too.

The picture is a little blurry....

Idle Error AC ON ....0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
Idle Error Normal....0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5, 5, 5

Stability control.... 150, 8, 8

You are correct about the ROM..... I didn't realize you have ACD.

You can try the universal ROM 96530006. It is supposed to work on all VIIIs.

I tested it on an 05 VIII .....didn't work for me. Worth a shot though.

I forgot to ask, where did you get your definitions from? Was it on here? I can't find anything on the idle error tables.
