Good rule of thumb is, if for example your log looks smooth at 3-4 smoothing then you change to 20 smoothing and you lose 50-60whp or so, then that is not accurate and in those situations i go by the highest smoothing possible.. being 20

I seen a HTA 86 fully built evo show 690WHP with a smoothing of 3 and then i put the smoothing to 20 and it was only 600WHP. that is a perfect example how it is not accurate in certain situations. and this was at 40psi. I will not mention who that tune was from LOL. Timing numbers certainly reflected the 600WHP number tho..
