Quick Ignition question

So, I'm logging my car and I'm getting 3-4 counts of knock here and there so I adjusted the high octane ignition table from 27degrees to 25. So I logged again and for example based off lets say 90 load and 3250 rpm I'm getting 12 counts of knock. Am I going backwards with the igniting timing? I always get myself confused with advanced/retard so if my original timing was 27 degrees I would need to retard it to combat knock so the number needs to get higher correct? Because I think I did it backwards, everywhere here and there I was getting 1-2 counts and changed a lot of inputs 1 degree and I drove the car home and I have like 660 counts of knock over the course of a 15min drive.

25->20 retard
25->30 advance

The right amount of timing is dependent on variables. Consider if you have cams doing some false knock research. They're the trickiest bit of common hardware to tune for when relative inexperience has a factor.

Lets say I'm not getting false knock, and lets say I have 6 counts of knock at 25 degrees timing, when trying to combat knock I need to retard my timing right?

Here are 2 data logs. I knock just driving around from 80-100 load, around 2500-3250rpm, what my log says for example is that I am at 23degrees or so of timing but for that particular load and rpm cell I have it set at lets say 21 to combat the couple counts of knock I am getting. When I save it then reflash my ecu the numbers that I am reading for timing don't match what I have saved in ecuflash. From 70-100 Load and 2500-3500 rpm I have dropped my timing a **** ton and I still knock, I don't get it.

One more thing too, could my load factor be off? It's (1.2) Im running tephra v7 94170715 and I'm running stock boost hitting 300load if my load factor is off it could explain why when I change my timing in ecuflash I don't see a change in my 80-100 load timing when I actually log it. Just a thought?
