Patrick, do you guys do any porting? I just picked up an OEM exhaust manifold that I'd like to get ported locally, if able.

Question: Not to sound like a dumbass, but how can one reliably diagnose weather my HID bulb has gone bad or it's the balast? Is there a shortcut to replacing the bulb other than removing the bumper as it looks like I have to? What part number am I looking at for HIDs for an 06? What's the PN for the balast? AAFES refused to see me. And my german Mitsu dealer told me it was illegal for them to change my headlights (??????). I'm up ****'s creek and have no paddle because I'm a terrible mechanic.

The auto skills place on base is closed down for quite a few more weeks becuase they are working on moving to a new building...My temp tags expire on the 3rd...I go TDY (again) on the 2nd. I guess I'm going to have to register the thing INOP and fix it when I get back?

I have the headlights, but Amberg Mitsu told me that it was illegal for them to change the bulbs...And that they didn't fit. But I googled / evom'ed the correct size D2s or something. I'm at a loss and super frustrated.

Thanks for letting me vent guys,

Adam

Adam, I don't even know you and I have full faith in you taking off the bumper.

Unless you are Corky, the no thumbed retard...any one can do it. Put on your big boy pants and go give it a try.

and yes, our HID evo headlights are illegal in German TUV. HIDs must have washer sprayers and be automatic self leveling. I understand why they are not touching them.

Yeah, I suppose I should try it. Ugh. I'm a terrible mechanic, but I guess I have to give it a shot. The headlight thing makes perfect sense now.

Thanks for the positive encouragement.
