I have seen numerous dyno overlays on several different cars with various P-trim combinations.

They aren't EVOs and I don't have the charts as I didn't tune them and they aren't my cars, so this means nothing...

And David, I think it's hilarious that you call me a jerk and act like I'm just a Buschur hater. Numerous threads about your products I have said you have impressive parts. I just don't believe in getting spoon fed information that seems to be marketing propaganda.

Pay attention all.. AMS has done a great job with this.

Class is in session... take good notes and follow suite!

Way to set another good example and a good standard AMS.

I for one think the more tests the better and appreciate AMS doing this test!! Many wanted to see better spool with similiar topend it didn't happen, that's why it was a test. Some wanted to see it with a .82 housing not a .63, we still need to thank AMS for taking the time to do the test. IMO the turbo is still worth 400 bucks over a 37R in a maxed out combination..... if you can see a consistant 20-30whp gain up top it's worth it at this power level IMO.

I know this thread died but.

I think the turbine housing deal is being exaggerated. They both move the same amount of total air so if excessive backpressure was hurting HP, it would help both. To say one housing is fitted for the normal 67 wheel and another exhaust housing is better suited for another...thats lunacy. They are pretty much the same, but one is more apt for high boost pressures. I dont know how much i even believe that now. I didnt know people were running more then 34psi on the 67 wheel because I pay more attention to the 3.0 supra guys who dont need 40 psi to max out the compressor.

Its good to know at least a few people have had no problems running that high boost level. I hope I can max out my 67H P trim compressor in the low/mid 30's boosts though. 3.0L mitsu ftl :P

I thought the compressor was maxed at 34psi but I guess like the GT series turbos, it can deal with a little bit of overspinning.

Since this thread was brought back from the dead

We put the FP HTA88 on our black car this season, that is the actual name of this turbo from FP. So this same set up.

The car ran 8.8's at 166 mph.

The HTA37r is a code name for the turbo from AMS. The turbo is actually an FP HTA88, which is the old 67 Ptrim turbo with FP's HTA88 mm compressor wheel upgrade in it.

I think it's pretty obvious that this test was abt the difference between the HTA37 and the regular 37r, not about the capabilities of the HTA37 (or HTA88). This turbo could be put in a 7 sec car but still won't be relevant to this thread

Wow, thank you for your input darwin, you sir are the best contribution to EVOm to date!

The ET's this turbo has run isn't relevant to it's performance............that's an interesting concept.

As you know David, in my case I ditched the old tech "P" trim back wheel and updated it with a more modern turbine wheel combo

With my HTA88 I went 9.78 @ 153 with a 3280 lbs car with driver. This was at 800 whp. Compared to my Gt42 which made 1060 whp and went a best of 9.5 @ 156 I was very impressed with the HTA88 - a great turbo for sure.

It remains to be seen if the car will go just as fast with a 62/62 - that is something I want to test soon.

I didn't say it's not relevant to its performance, I clearly said it's not relevant to this thread
As this thread is not about the performance of the hta88, but rather about the performance DIFFERENCE between the hta88 and the regular 37r
