This thread has been a roller coaster... Interesting though. Good reliable trust worthy information as always from AMS

I'm glad that there is clear and concise test evidence shown in this thread. Unlike some of the other "tests" done by some of the vendors on this site.

Pay attention all.. AMS has done a great job with this.

Class is in session... take good notes and follow suite!

Way to set another good example and a good standard AMS.

As I said, VERY FEW make over 720 HP. 735 is only a 2% variance from 720 and not what I would consider a significant break over to show they are fully capable of making far more power then 720 HP.

I've seen P-trim used on 61mm to 76mm inducer turbochargers and it wasn't until the change to a larger turbine that the cars actually started making great power. Anything from 66mm up seemed to max out at the low 700s on the P-trim.

Considering the lag that comes with the P-trim, I think there are better options. I've seen GT4294R setups outspool similar T67/P-trim setups...

simliar is the the key word.. i went from a 67p to a 42r and it did not spool the same.. i didnt find the 67 ptrim to bother me lag wise.. just my .02

Off topic side note. You know what's funny? Back when we were running the tube chassis Eclipse, we ran our 7's on a T67-Ptrim turbo. We had a 37r before there was that cool name for it That turbo was in a T4 turbine housing and ran a best of 7.81 at 174.8 mph.

You'd also have to have one jacked up set up for a 67 ptrim to get out spooled by a 42r.

EDIT: You are right David, they were wacked out setups. Only you can build a solid setup.

03whitegsr, I wasn't looking for an arguement. I did get your actual response in full to my inbox though. I don't know why you needed to be a douche bag in your response to me. I can repost it if anyone wants to see it. A 67 Ptrim turbo is a lot smaller than a GT4294 that you used for example. So it has nothing to do with "Buschur is the only one who can build a set up that isn't jacked up" (as you said, sarcastically). It is the simple size of the two turbos, the GT4294 on the same engine isn't going to spool faster than a 67 Ptrim.

Thanks for being a jerk though, it keeps things interesting.

I'm a jerk because I disagree with you yet decided it really wasn't worth the argument?

OK...

What ever you say David. A solid GT4294R will never spool as well as a well setup P-trim/T67...

If everything is equal besides the turbo it definitely should not outspool a 67p.. it may look or feel like it does but overlay the dyno sheets and youll see different..
