BR built, 576 whp/406 ft lbs, 93 octane.

We have celica2evo's car back in here to install the Exedy Triple push style clutch in it and upgrade his FP HTA82 turbo to the FP HTA86.

Previously the car made 542whp-381ft lbs on 93 octane/alky. Brian ran a 10.3 in the car on pump gas/alky. The alky was on the car but I didn't tune it anymore agressive with the alky. Brian had been wanting to remove it so this time around I didn't bother to even turn it on.

The car gained 34 whp and 25 ft lbs of torque switching to the HTA86 and is now being run on just straight 93 octane fuel. I don't know where the fuel came from (what gas station).

The car's torque curve is very impressive. Peak boost was 31 psi, the turbo was still holding 30.7 psi at 8,000 rpm when I ended the pull. Torque hits 375 ft lbs at 4800 rpm and then has over 400 ft lbs from 5800 rpm until the pull was stopped at 8,000 rpm.

Other specifics on the car:

BR 2 liter, 14,000+ miles on it at 500+ whp on pump gas and 600+ on race gas.
BR Stage 3 head, same mileage as shortblock
BR header kit with .82 turbine housing and FP HTA86
BR 3" JDM EVO 9 rear turbo back
Wilson V2 intake manifold
BR 65 mm throttle body
BR coil on plug
BR double pumper
BF272 cams
PTE 1200 cc injectors
BR Race FMIC
BR 2.5" upper and lower i/c pipes
Exedy triple, push style
BR lightweight battery kit

Here's the dyno sheet. I'd say this will be another 9 second pump gas EVO come April when the tracks here finally open again.

nice #'s david. it's got to be nice pulling up to the local gas station while headed to the track and ripping off a 9 second pass when you get there.

what boost level was the car at on the previous setup?

This car has already gone 9's actually. It ran 9.8's on race gas on the HTA82 turbo. The 10.3 that it ran last year was just on the pump/alky tune.

It is nice going 9's on pump gas for sure, hell going 10's on pump gas is an accomplishment. I know in early 2008 there was a lot of talk from a lot of people about pump gas power levels. I think we put the real in realistic in 2008 though. My car running 9.7 on 93 octane and about 6 others running 10.6's and faster on 93 octane. Eric's car ran a 10.1 on 93. It is very cool being able to go that fast just driving into the track.

The car was tuned at 30 psi before this too.

doesn't look like much of a spool up difference.

very impressive. it's insane how the power just keeps climbing as it's pushed to redline.
