I agree on waiting. getting the pump gas tune and race gas tune done on the first day of racing sounds the best! dead on tune when we get to the track and go for 9s on both.

I should be done with it for now except for trying to get some more weight out of it, but who knows

Not saying it can't be done, but what are you taking out to get to sub 3000lbs with you in the car?? I've got a lot of stuff out of my car and I'm ~3150 with driver (210lb). I haven't gone to extreme measures to get weight out, but if there is some additional "easy" weight to take out, I will.

Im not sure, when it was corner balanced it was at 3000 with 3/4 of a tank of fuel. I was 175 so im just guessing with a 1/4 tank of fuel. Im in class so ill figure it up later.

So your car weighs about the same as mine. When I had mine corner balanced, it was 2990lb with about 5/8 of a tank of gas.

yea, since then ive taken the AC off, its getting the sparco evo seats for both fronts, and Im taking all the sound deadening out. I havent actually figured out what it will weigh. Just my goal is 2999 or less. Once I get the stuff done, ill bring it down to school and throw it on the scales.

You should think twice about those seats Brian. While the stock ones aren't the lightest they are comfortable. You should talk to VWJeff, he put aftermarket seats in his and took them back out.

I liked the sparco seat when I had it in. The only reason its not in now is the slider was a POS and wouldnt slide and the harnesses werent in right to where they worked correctly.

If I keep the stock seats I need to find a way to lower them, thats the only thing i dont like is they seem to sit too high.

I know, ive thought about those. Im still pretty sure ill go with another sparco since i already have one. Im planning on running 5 points on both seats and just running both sparco evo 2 seats.

The car isnt going to see the street near as much next year since I finally have another car to drive. So i can deffinately handle just the harnesses and not stock set-up.

Heck, me celica had 4 points with no regular seatbelts almost the entire time ive had it. that was about 4 years.

Keep the stock seats man... if Dave is going 9.0's with the stockers, do you really think the 20lbs you will save is gonna make that much of a difference... NO.

Go get some stock leather seats, they are soft and comfy

After I started thinking about some of the stupid sh*t I started to do with my car, I realized it was turning into a rice box... dont be that guy that turned his Evo into a Honda. Keep it real mang!

**EDIT** Where in the FU*K is OUR avitars?

I noticed all the avitars are gone too.

Done worry, my car will never turn into a honda! Im getting my trunk painted to match the car because it looks gay as carbon. I must be wierd with the seats, I think im one of the few that like the bucket seats. Theres just something about them I like.

Oh and I need some help, what do you have to do to remove the charcoal evap canister? Thats one of the parts I still have for some reason. I want to get it off, but im not sure what to take off.
