DLL: FP Red 93 oct, stock motor and ECU (04 RS)

Not sure how close this would be to a real dyno, but since there are so many DLL dynos out there I figured I might as well share. This pull was from today. The ground looks very flat as far as I can see, it was 80F and 65% humidity, but the graph is uncorrected (I assume that's what everyone else is doing with their DLL plots? Mellon?). I'm always wondering about how the car definition is set with DLLs, so I've included that info. in the screenshot.

The tune is pretty rough at this point, but I can tell you that the AFR from 22psi up is always between 11.1 and 11.4 and the timing is conservative (12 degrees at 7200 rpm).

For those who are curious about lag with the Red, here's what the boost looks like from the datalog:

RPM/Boost
2938 1.4
3000 1.8
3031 2.2
3094 2.8
3156 3.3
3188 4
3250 4.5
3313 5.2
3375 5.9
3438 6.7
3500 7.5
3563 8.5
3625 9.6
3688 10.7
3781 12.3
3844 14.3
3938 16.7
4063 19.7
4219 22.2
4313 22.6
4469 23
4563 23.5
4656 23.8
4813 24
4969 24.2
5063 24.1
5219 24.1
5344 24.4
5438 24.4
5563 24.3
5719 24.4
5781 24.1
5906 24.1
6031 24.1
6156 23.9
6250 23.6
6375 23.7
6500 23.9
6594 24
6719 23.8
6875 23.8
6938 23.6
7031 23.6
7188 23.5
7281 23.5

Mod list (HP-related only):

Stock motor, head, intake manifold and throttle body
BR-ported FP Red w/FP actuator
BR air filter (Gen I)
BR IC piping (modded 1G BOV)
BR Race FMIC
BR ported exhaust manifold
BR TBE (Magnaflow)
Comp 280s w/JAM lifters
FIC 1050cc injectors
Helix O2 housing
Blitz SBC id3 EBC
Aquamist HFS-5 (turned off)

Seems to me that the results are too high for the mods and boost that I have, but I've disclosed all the specs. If you think that I'm missing something, please let me know. Comments, questions, and criticisms welcome.

Thanks,
Rich

looks about right to me, the torque is a little low for the hp though...I'd be happy to run that same log through my DLL for comparison if you'd like.

Chris, that'd be great. I've got the file. PM me your email address and I'll send it your way.

The torque has always been low on my car for the HP, with the 3 different turbos I've had on it. I think it's because of the way my EBC spools the turbo. It doesn't spike the boost down low like some other controllers, but it does hold it steady.

I agree with mellon... have you tried "jack of trades" virtual dyno?

I just tried it. Result was very similar: 439 whp/348 wtq.

EDIT: Those are the "Mustang dyno" numbers. The Dynojet-corrected numbers are 464/367 and Buschur-dyno correction is 408/323.

I got 460/374 with 5 smoothing, 165lb for the driver and about 100lbs more for the car weight. which are my default settings unless I'm told something otherwise. the curve looks exactly the same, it's just the weight difference raising mine up a bit.

Does 460hp sound right to you at 23psi and 12deg of timing with a stock motor on a red? I think dynojets usually show between 400-430.

It's actually 24 psi and 440 whp weight corrected, not 23 psi and 460 whp, and I'm within 1/2 psi of that at peak power. A lot of people say they are running X psi, but they have X-3 at the RPM of peak power.

The numbers do seem high to me too though, but that's probably because the dyno I'm most familiar with is the low-reading Mustang dyno at DTM. I haven't pushed any more boost or turned my Aquamist back on because I'm worried about the stock motor.

I was going by your boost log and dyno graph.

Also comparing your set-up with this thread,,

FP red setups range from 400-450 with my tuning/dll on 92-93 most commonly, throw in ported bits and head work and that should go on up some. Throw in better fuel and it could go way up.

actually the lowest red thus far was 413 I think and highest was 475 IIRC
