I was wondering the same thing. I know people have been mixing Q16 with E85 to bump it up, and people have been mixing there own E85 with E98 and race gas, but not too many people making big numbers on straight E85 out of the pump.

After the Shootout I'm going to put it back on the dyno with the rear shocks raised so the tires don't rub, and crank it to 44 psi to try and make over 900 awhp on straight pump E85.

And you are doing this just on one A1000 ?
Can I ask did the Boost a pump make a big difference regarding fuel flow ?

Are you guys going to the Shootout ?

The A1000 has been sent to Aeromotive to get upgraded to there current specs. It's basically the same flow as an older Eliminator pump. At first I had the boost-a-pump grounded to the side of the trunk near the wheel well. It richen it up about .5 a/f. I thought that something was not right so I ran the ground to the fuel cell mount bolt which is welded into the structal part of the trunk. It than went from 11.5 to 9.9 a/f!!! Make sure you use an 8 gauge ground mounted somewhere solid.
That 40 amp Boost-a-Pump works!

those are very sick numbers makes me wonder how anybody could say anything bad about E-85 have you thought about push to lock fittings so you dont have to worry about vac lines getting soft over time or blowing off.

Yusuf,

Last time I talked to Mike he told me that you had just switched. Looks like in that last 4psi the timing must either need to go up to get more power, or you're already at the limit. I know the 400 is around a 42 for size, where is the 374?

congrats

I call it a 374 because a lot of retailers refer to it as that. It's actually the same turbo as Reichen's and Kiggly's 474 with a T4 1.10 divided exhaust housing.

At Norwalk The 26" slicks wouldn't stop rubbing on the big end, and I ruined one slick and carved slight groves in 2 others. At 38 psi it went 117 mph in the 1/8th but then only 147.8 mph in the 1/4. I normally was picking up 38 to 40 mph from the 1/8 to the 1/4. I decided to crank the boost up to 44psi and then I broke the T-case and the rear diff. I NEED 24.5" slicks for this wheel well challanged first gen EVO.

It looked like the dyno was going to go up to over 900 awhp just before the the wastegate line got blown off. On Buschur's heartbreaker dyno it put down 740 awhp uncorrected in over 90 degree temps with about 50% humidity. Adding back the 20% vs. a dyno jet it comes to 888 awhp. Now this is with a fmic (no air to water), a FP5r exhaust vs. a FP 11r and no cam timing or ignition timing adjustments. Right now the ignition timing is at 11.5 torque peak and 14 degrees at 10,000 rpm. I'm going to wait till after the season is over in October and find the true limit of the fuel with this set-up. I think another 4 psi (48 psi) and some cooler weather 1,000 awhp is possible.
