Tuning Technologies TTech 600 bolt on turbo results

2006 Evo 9 GSR
stock engine
Tuning Technologies TTech 600 bolt-on turbo
Tuning Technologies ECU tune
AEM intake
272-degree cams
Works O2 housing
Works downpipe
GReddy SP2 catback exhaust
ETS fmic
AMS lower ic pipe
RC 1000cc/min injectors
Walbro fuel pump
ARP heat studs
100-octane
about 23psi of boost

Just got back from the track with Tuning Technologies' new bolt-on turbocharger. Stock Evo 9 turbo, custom machined with new compressor wheel and Inconel turbine wheel. Complete stock, direct bolt on replacement. Tuning Technologies did a great job tuning as well, the engine idles and drives smooth with no problems. Low noise with the street exhaust too, can't really hear or see the power. You can feel it though. Huge top end gains compared to the factory turbo.

Car just won the Evo vs. STI Shootout as well at Buttonwillow.

The Tuning Tech turbo is actually closer to a Red than a FP Green.

Why only 23 psi with 100 octane?

We were looking to play it safe on this particular Evo 9. Alfred says this turbo is 500whp capable with the right mods.

This car is daily driven and doesn't go to the track on a trailer. We didn't want to push it and get stuck at the track. Still need to get to work on Monday in the car!

The stock engine has about 50k daily miles, lots of track days on it and lots of skidpad/figure-8 testing time on it. It has seen some use. This car was originally the Sport Compact Car magazine project Evo.

Do you have a overlay with the factory turbo curves to see these gains?
