s*** happens. so let me get this straight though...you dont have a boost gauge, nor a wideband?...and you're running around at 30psi?

i know its a time to be somber, but come on dude. atleast take some initiative to protect your investment. get the necessary guages, and datalog your pulls!

seems like your tuner is fully capable, and knows what he's doing. user error, or just a weak motor. rebuild w/ some nice forged internals, and boost on.

(12-12.3AFR).
Kevin, thanks for posting the log and I'm glad that you've chimed in with the thread.

Totally agree as this is what I've said from the beginning.

Reading through the comments, I can see the sarcasm starting to pick up. Can we not take things "there"? Seriously, this has no effect on anyone's pocket book except my own. I only want to get things diagnosed as there will be no way that I'll be able to get the car fixed before I leave for Arizona meaning that the car will have to sit where the rebuild is going to happen. I would like to do things right this time and maybe entertain other options of achieving my power goals that does not include E85 given the fact of various ratings between comparable gas stations.

Yes, I do have a boost gauge and as I've said earlier, I bought the wrong AFR gauge by mistake. I completely agree with you about getting forged internals with a rebuild. It will be done right once that time comes. Right now, I'm just trying to decide what the best route is and the timeline associated with it.

Quarters? What's the matter? I bet it's the typical Iraqi winter getting the better of you.

I'm ready to proceed with the rebuild as time is not a commodity I have very much of.

I'm just getting things ready for my rebuild. It's going to be a long process and truly a test of patience. I just don't want to go through this ever again so bulletproof for the engine and drivetrain is the name of the game from now on.

Everyone kept asking me why I had Kevin do a bottom end build when he did my 60k service, I went with Howard 1000 hp rods and wiseco HD pistons, full head work, dual springs, 272's...because I knew what was coming. I just put on my 35R and will be going with alot of meth and I want to go f a s t, I say do it right the first time, at least as right as you can. Glad you're getting it taken care of, good luck

I'm not sure I fully understand why you mention that you had your bottom end rebuilt but then list parts that deal with the cylinder head. I was in the process of doing things right as springs/retainers were next on the list of parts to buy. I do wish you a lot of fun with your 35r/meth set up.
