Right now, my biggest decision is whether or not to do a built 2.0L or 2.3L. I'm leaning towards a 2.3L but the turbo of choice is yet to be determined.
I'm not sure I fully understand why you mention that you had your bottom end rebuilt but then list parts that deal with the cylinder head. I was in the process of doing things right as springs/retainers were next on the list of parts to buy. I do wish you a lot of fun with your 35r/meth set up.
Yep, no issues at all with it. He is very meticulous. He went as far as to make sure the pistons mounted on the rods are mounted the same way, plastigauged rod bearings twice, checked piston/ring/walll clearance multiple times, he even redid my timing belt after he had done it because he realized that the person who had the car before me did the timing belt and had the oil pump gear 180 degrees off and when test driving he noticed it so in his own time he took it all back apart and put it all together. The guy is legit, no bs, he does good work and he knows the Evo.

My rebuild is slowly underway as there is no rush in getting it completed before the winter ends and spring begins. All involved have really stepped up to the plate more than I could have ever hoped and I'm pleased with how things are going thus far. Early diagnosis of the engine revealed that there were other things wrong with the engine block that more than likely led to the rod and other supporting parts from coming loose. There was nothing wrong with the tune for those of you that inquired and expressed your opinions. I'll continue to make updates in the days/weeks ahead just to keep you all abreast of the "second coming" of the Mamba.

Kevin has still given me great support through it all but to answer your question, no, he is not doing the rebuild for me.

For the difference of price, a 2.3L is more interesting for me and to that I'll add the FP Black since it's already equipped with a 67mm turbine wheel (slightly smaller than the 35r turbine wheel). First things first as the build has to be finished as the turbo will be the last thing added.
