Mellon Tuning Preliminary Results 30psi old green turbo

so we are still tuning so these figure could go up or down but thought it was interesting to show a 15 degree pull with the ETS 3 inch FMIC vs the ETS 3.5 FMIC in "not cold" conditions..40 degrees..anyway i will update this thread once we are done..
**3_27_10_ Newest graph**

***Here is the latest, smoother and holding more power up top, still working on the tune so it could go either way**, couple runs started showing up high knock counts, so i pressure checked and look what i found..see second photo. cleaned it up and working fine now..knock on wood

Were both pulls done at 30#? If so, did you have to readjust the boost after the IC swap with your MBC to bring it back up to 30#? Also, is this an unported, or ported Green? Do you happen to know at what duty cycle the injectors are running?

Wait 443whp and 451 tq with an Evo green with mild mods ? Most are lucky to get 400whp from a Green.

sparky yeah i had to re-adjust the boost to bring it up. i was tuned before at around 28-29 on the ets 3 inch fmic. i adjusted it and hit 30psi and that seems to be good so far. again we are still tuning it. its a non ported green. i do not know the idc. kpr 400whp is relative to what dyno, and dyno selection on the vdr,

Is this a one-to-one comparison with the only difference being the 3" IC vs 3.5" IC?

difference is the 3.0 ets then 3.5 plus a re-tune. so not a direct compare on the same tune.

andy_8. nice numbers. pretty solid for the stock ic. would think an aftermarket fmic and licp would help a bit. do you have the stock o2 housing? stock exhaust manifold? any other power adding mods

Did Mellon do the 3" tune and the 3.5" tune as well? That's a lot of difference.

My Stock O2 and stock manifold are both ported. This car has been tuned on Dyno Dynamics. I have yet to dial it in on the road. I want to play a bit more on the dyno first with an uprated IC and piping and ported TB.

I also like to go on the Curcuits so need the tune to be able to handle that.

My target is 400WHP on the Dyno Dynamics. Which with an Old skool green is not easy

Then upgrade to a FP Black.

Andy
