4g64/MIVEC/FPBlack e85/92 Comparison

Well, my car's fuel system was totally maxed out on a single modded Walbro and PTE 1200's so I decided to take her to the next level with a Full Blown twin intank setup and a set of FIC2150 injectors.
Today everything came together and I was able to have the English Racing crew perform their tuning magic. I want to preface this with the fact that this is my everyday daily driver and NOT a full-out race car so I am unwilling to put up with a finicky/noisy/smelly car.

Mods List:
  • 2.4 block modded for MIVEC oil feed
  • JE 9:1 pistons
  • Eagle rods
  • Power Enterprise Head Gasket
  • L19 Head Studs
  • GSC S2
  • fp springs
  • AEM Exh. cam gear
  • Modded MIVEC cam gear
  • Magnus cast intake manifold
  • FIC 2150cc Injectors
  • Full Blown twin intank walbro's (both modded)
  • Fuel Pumps fully rewired with 8 gauge + and - to the battery (worth .6v extra at the pumps)
  • ETS 4" Intercooler with short-route pipes
  • Forge BOV
  • ETS intake pipe
  • Hallman Pro MBC
  • FPBlack ported
  • stock port matched exhaust manifold
  • Megan O2 Housing
  • Perrin 3" DP
  • 3" Test Pipe
  • HKS HiPower cat-back (this is nice and quiet, but not a true 3" exhaust)
  • SD conversion
  • 4" Intake pipe and 9" K&N filter
On to the Dyno charts:
A few months ago right after this combination came to life, Aaron managed to pull 511hp Uncorrected (92 Octane) on the ER DynoJet, today with the new fuel system on 92 Chevron:

Once Aaron maxed out the pump gas tune, we emptied the tank and filled it up with e70 leprechaun ****, I'm pretty sure this is as much as we can squeeze out of it without working over the exhaust system for more flow. (going to an open dump O2 housing)

92 octane and e70 overlayed:

My Full Blown setup:

The FIC2150 injectors are worth every penny, no startup issues, no idle issues, no cruise issues, and they saw a max of 58% duty cycle on my dyno pulls.

Props to English Racing for once again exceeding expectations.

On a side note; the car is f****ng fast! with a huge huge torque curve, absolutely the best street combination I've ever owned.

John-

This thing was wicked on the dyno. We arent sure but it seems it might have even been ripping the Falken RT-615s loose on the dyno

Johnny, thanks for bringing the car down today to let me play with it and see what we could make it do.

I was wondering when you'd get back down there with the dual walbro's, John! Very nice results and I'm sure a blast! I can't wait for a similar build!

Weren't you on Q16 (or was it C16) during the dyno day? Was that just to see a close-ish comparison to where you'd be on corn? Also, is e70 what they sell in Stanwood, and is that simply a seasonal blend? Thanks for sharing the results!

e85 is seasonal, the manufacturers add more gas in the colder months to help with starts. in the warmer months the stations will have true e85.

Yes, last month we used Q16 with the smaller injectors and single pump..

We made more power on E at 2.5psi less boost.

The black is making 300+ torque from 3700 and 300+ whp from 4100 up which makes for a very a fun street car. I would presume there are very few cars around Everett that are going to have a chance.

^haha Thanks Fred. I am excited. I'm looking pretty hard at this.... https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...astegates.html That should net me 700hp fairly easy and allow me to spool by 4k.

Can't let Eric pull ahead?

I knew it was seasonal for the colder months John, just making sure that is why you went with e70. Sucks they don't go back to e85 seeing as how warm it has been.
