Where did you buy the cams? If you got them used, maybe the original owner could confirm with his own proof of purchase?

I think it's that Spark Tech Ignition take it off and the drop might be more

I also think cam timing to be the issue, especially with the slow spool.

Cams were bought new from Javicracer here on EvoM. I PMed him to give me reassurance that these were in fact GSC S3's. He replied that they were S3's indicating why they were so difficult to sell. I am in contact with Greg at GSC in order to determine which cams these are. I should hopefully have an answer by the end of today on that.

You guys keep saying intake manifold/exhaust.. neither of which would make the cars power SO DAMN CHOPPY at the end...choking off maybe, but it would be a smoother more gradual decline. A few things ive seen in cars that have made it chop like that(if your saying the boost held steady then ignore the first two)but a cracked manifold at or around the wastegate which would explain the late spool up and fluctuation or boost leak that the WG and turbo are trying to overcome, bad timing, valve float, bad spark, or something else is not working properly. Again, im a V8 guy but even having the wrong cams(installed properly) if too small would just dip and not chop THAT bad. And ive heard "unknown shop" said twice in this post and he mentioned Headway performance as the builder of the block.

I agree. although i still think the exhaust is choking it, it sure looks like the ignition isnt keeping up or some other sort of miss.

If you notice the power starts to go back up..toward the end a little..if the exhaust was choking it it would just keep going down..not pick up hp after it dropped off.

also you you to remember bobby has a big set of cams in there thats what cams do is make the power band go up..It looks like the manifold, cams, and exhaust are competing against each other for flow..

the car will be at my garage in 20mins or so. ill gunna pull the exhaust off and see if it makes a difference(which i know it wont) but just to make everyone happy i will. If i can remember correctly Sumans car has a buschur exhaust on it with 2 magnaflow resanator mufflers and the car makes 700+ on pump as with a similar setup. im convinced that intake mani and cam combo along with incorrect timing is the issue.

+1 agreed my exhaust is pretty damb restrictive and im on a stock block with less mods same boost pressure on stock intake manifold and throttle body not ported and made 604awhp on 34psi

I have a resonated testpipe and another resonator on the midpipe and a huge muffler... I dont think a true 3" exhaust can create so much backpressure...

The OP is missing a LOT of power! I would put my money on the intake, cam combo

well....there is some issues. i believe my head is the problem. compression number are as follows: #1-85 #2-120 #3-95 #4-125. I have no oil in my catch can, so it doesnt seem to be rings. the head will be coming off and sent off to a machine shop. could be seal(s)? bent valve(s)? i guess we will find out. Im going to go ahead and thank Bosco for taking time out to help me discover all of this. its truly appreciated. im sure he will chime in here soon.
