575whp on 6262 setup...opinions on whats wrong with my graph?
Alls I know is the car left Bobby(my brother) with 272s and a stock engine on a decent tune..and came back with a built engine and bigger cams with the SAME tune and immediately I noticed the exhaust note and told him I was surprised to hear a set of 280s that sounded weaker than what he had in there before. The car idles like stock..and I know some people will say you can get them to idle like stock on the mivec or whatever..but on the same tune the larger cams should at LEAST sound the same as the ones he had in the car before.
Came back from where?? Headway??
Bobby told me so much about your ride man,,, I look forward to meeting you!
You should come to CT to finish up my tune
Ill do a little chiming in. With the center two pistons at TDC and pumping compressed air into each cylinder...cylinder 2 holds steady with no leaks but cylinder 3 you can hear air leaking out of the exhaust(enough to even spin the turbine wheel) and out of the valve cover breather hole making me think its a bad valve/valve seal. Same thing is happening to one of the outside pistons at TDC(forget which one) When the engine was built the head was left untouched just had the cams swapped. It has the same dual springs he bought the car with as well as the factory(yellow/brown?) valve seals.
Did you find your bug?
Actually when the testing was done it wasn't done right. It was redone using snap on tools and the correct way and there was great compression throughout and no leaky valves(helps when each cylinder is done at TDC)....my guess is the cams along with the combination of a few other things...im going to bet as soon as he gets a set of real cams it will fix a lot of issues.

What cams did you guys decide to go with?? New lifters as well??
So last night I had the opportunity to measure the lobes on various cams. Measurements as follows: Stock- 35.9mm. Cosi M2s- 36.3. Buschur 280s- ~37.0
it seems as though I have something to the equivelant of stock cams in the car.
I am now in search of (mivec) cams. Preferably in this order: S2s, M2s, M3s, Kelford 272s, Fp4r. PM me with what you got.

I appreciate you guys hanging tough with your Mate and hopefully getting to the bottom of this.
Kind of an unforseen outcome since Bobby swore they were s3's when we started the tune
Get the next set of cams in there from a reputable member/vendor on this forum and get strapped up for round 2.
