Well thats what the guy who sold them to him said... so he was telling you what he had based on what he was told he had...not exactly his fault.

It would be interesting for the sake of discussion to identify the cams in question. It shouldn't be difficult to do.

Very true... But when building a car of this caliber, there is less room for error. Chalk this one up as a good experience to learn from, get things straightened out with the person who sold him the cams and move forward with confidence.

sounds to me like some scumb bag sold him a bad set of cams or a no name brand set for the price of the good set. i would get a hold of him and get your money back and if he says no well im not gunna post what i would do because i will get banned from this site. AWD motorsports looks like they had a similar problem.

I am now in search of (mivec) cams. Preferably in this order: S2s, M2s, M3s, Kelford 272s, Fp4r. PM me with what you got.

I bet its your cams, I just saw the awd motorsports thread. The graph mike posted up looks similar to your power drop at around the same rpm.

Well if you are calling me out, I will bet a shiny dollar that if they arent stock they are Works 269s (or whatever the IX version is). They are slightly more duration than stock and stock lift. All in all total fail.

Well it also appears that the BC272s are about the same. Either way a bucket of fail.
