I surprised on what kind of power this makes compared to a X on a FP Red. With a good tune on the X and similiar mods, it will be hitting the high 400's

no it wont.. not with these cams. this car is maxed out. if you try to give it more timing anywhere it will knock. this tune can not be made better.. i assure you that much.

with gsc s2 or kelford 272 he will make about 450-460 on 93oct on that dyno (I think).

Tom, how would you rate hks 272 (VIII) in realtion to the comp 272 used here, and with the gsc s1 from the hta green link. They are all pretty similar, but you deal with a large volume of cars, so Im sure you've picked up on some subtleties. I've had the hks cams in my car for a long while, and they have done pretty well thus far, I just hope they don't keep me from the 400whp mark on my upcoming hta green tune...thanks
hks 272 are better then these comp 272 cams and hks 272 are considered to be really mild cams as it is.

gsc s1 are like kelford 272 almost, and gsc s2 are better then kelford 272. GSC's new grind on all their cams are pretty damn good.. way better then they were before.

the old AMS test shows gsc with their old grind of cams.. gsc is way better now.

how much timing did your car take? this cars maxed at 9* .. the exhaust system may be a slight bottleneck also. e85 will awaken it, but how much.. should be interesting to find out.

Won't it need more fuel pump for E85? Money might be better spent on new cams.

Not if it hits around 525 or so on VDR, his pump will be right on the edge...

Hey now, it's not stingy, just doesn't want anyone to be too cocky about their car, lol J/k, I think it's pretty accurate. I just tuned a couple of basic bolt-on Evo8's and they were 300-310 @ 23psi. We are gonna get a couple more fans though to help keep temps in check as it gets warmer.

Oh, if you want me to send you the actual run file, let me know.

Fun time as always Josh. Let me know when you get those cams, we'll work something out for the install

Nice for you to jump in, It was a blast to be there and great time. I will def keep you updated on the cams.

I do have several bottlenecks on the car once these are fixed it will be a monster 2 fold. As for my E85 I will be maxed on what I can run on my tranny and be ok. Once I decide to go all out I will also add a set of much large injectors and a Double Pumper to supply my fuel needs. I could not get a lick of more power out of this car as I push Tom to the brink on the tune for power and my issue is timing as it hates it with the cams lol. 10* in 3rd and 9* in 4th at the top iirc is all it wanted. I see a steady 27psi on the road with 3rd gear and 27-28 in 4th-6th.

FMIC needs a Garrett Core 3.8"
Cams are crap
UICP is to large

Because they are accepted here as real dyno results for some reason, even without a comparison.. 60 ft./lb. tq. difference at 3000rpm (before 5psi even) is certainly not having anything to do with air temps or hot dyno rooms, and we are talking dynojet numbers here. Not to take anything away from the tuning work posted here, as I am sure he did a fine job. I am just the artifical dyno hater of the year and I think they should have no place here unless provided with a comparison because as you can see here, thats really all they are good for aside from higher then dynojet numbers to brag about.
