Kracka's got us all figured out it appears The only wheel that is shared between any of them is the turbine wheel for the EF3 and EF4.

I really enjoy reading through this thread. I learn quite a lot and seeing the different options that guys select lets me know that there is no one way of making great power. That said, I was wondering what you guys thought about running some HKS 264s with my EF3 as I am more concerned about low-to-mid grunt between the ranges of 3,500-8,000.

Please please please for the love of God please don't put HKS cams in your car. I got rid of my HKS 272s for GSC S2 and I make so much more power and it didn't hurt my low end hardly at all. If anything go a set of Kelfords or a set of GSC s1's

If you want a mild cam that keeps low-midrange strong with smooth idle look at the GSC S1.

I hear you brothers. I was just considering a $215 purchase for the HKS 264s to see how they performed since I have no cams at the present time.

I am totally tracking on the Kelfords or S1s, for sure.

Can someone please tell me why the S1s for the EVO8 are more expensive than the S2s for the EVO8 on the MAPerformance portal? The S1s are priced at $522 and the S2s are priced at $478.

If you want something cheap, find some used HKS 272 or 280's. Those will at least show nice gains over stock. You should be able to find a used set of either around that price you mentioned.

I am down with that course of action.

We have exchanged PMs before, my friend and even a few back-and-forth posts in this thread. Send me a PM and maybe we can come up with something. It is now 0407 here in Afghanistan and I have to be on shift in a few hours. I am headed down for the morning. Hopefully I will have a nice PM when I check my email later this afternoon.

I'll be heading over to HongKong in 2 days - maybe I should check out some HKS cams there too. Are there any other JDM cams, like Tomei Pop cams, that would go well with the EF2/3 on an IX?

HKS doesn't make any worthwhile cams for the IX.

I read thru the whole tread i was debating between bb fp red or the ef3 the red is just 2 much $ and i almost made my final decision i just have a few questions, i have a evo 8 with 9 turbo, kelfords 272s, rc1200, single wally 255 with supporting mods on e85 putting down 370whp 359wtq on fftec mustang dyno my goal in the long run is around 450whp and lil under 400wtq on that dyno on stock block. so my question is, is it worth for me to get the ef3 tuned on my single 255 and rc1200 and hope for 410whp on mustang dyno and then when i save more money and buy a double pumper and fic1450 later on and reach my final goal or should i just wait till i could afford all at same time mainly wondering how the turbo gonna run on e85 with single pump and rc1200 knowingly they r not the best injectors. and if I'm gonna run into any issues with my fuel i know i wont reach my goal with single pump and those rc1200 i just need a little help to decide should i get turbo now and tune to my fuel setup or wait till i could go all out right away. Thanks a lot any opinion would appreciate a lot
