Dual maps?
Dual maps?
Hey guys,
I was wondering if it's worth running dual maps for 93/E85? I would run 93 most of the time but if I were to go race or something I would go fill up on E85 and bring two 5 gallon tanks with me to make sure I get home, haha. The only reason why I don't want to go full E85 is because my nearest station is about 25-30 minutes away, which is kind of a commute just to get gas.
Also, kind of a tangent but I have another question. Right now my car is sitting at 305whp/297tq with 3 inch TBE, LICP, fuel pump, and tune. My goal would to be in the 350-375whp range on 93, if I went dual map obviously it'd be higher on E85. My question is what else should I do? I've got a 10.5 buschur coated/ported hotside waiting to go on the car, intake is also on my list. I've heard that going speed density is also a good way to go, can anyone help me out? Thanks guys.

your questions like asking if cheap race gas is worth making a second map for and the answer is yes.. more power to be had if you need it. and speed density removes some restrictions in the intake tract that effect airflow so that's a plus as well, although the less airflow your system flows the less gains you'll see from it.
but this is the wrong section to be asking this in.
the only problem i see is you'll need bigger injectors.

Anyone in the states ever considered using an ethanol content sensor setup with their ECU to add full flexiFuel capability? I would have thought it'd be likely to have been done by now given you guys have E85 so available, its something I'm looking at tinkering with.

You know what, I'm just going to run straight E-98 like Buschur when I want to run hard... I have 110g of it and have no problem storing more... Just going to use what I have..
