another bbk full on 93oct

Here's another BBK Full i was working on. figured id share, since this proves the bbk full is very good for a 93oct turbo. this is the 3rd or 4th one i did now. they are all over 460 on 93oct.

i took the very conservative approach on this car, so we kept the torque a little slouchy downlow and stretched it out to touch sub 400 at mid range making the car feel like it has a never ending pull feeling from the broad torque curve.

I'm sure the owner will be happy once he sees it posted up here. He is very active in the military and wouldn't have the free time to post it himself so I'm sharing it for him.

Like the other one, this car was capable of around 440tq.. its amazing how much power this little turbo can produce on low octane fuel.

This car has an aquamist HFS-6 but we didn't turn on the meth yet.. so i suspect this one will crack 500hp with the injection. Normally i can only work on this vehicle sat-sun so it may be a bit until i can get those results.

Mod list:

06' Evo 9 SE
stock block with 52,000 miles
GSC S2 cams and Beehive springs
ID 1000cc injectors
SparkTech Non-CDI ignition
Ported BBK-Full turbo
Buschur 65mm ported throttle body
Buschur ported intake manifold
Buschur Racing turboback, Bullet
Megan O2 housing
ETS 4" intercooler
ETS LICP, UICP
Aquamist HFS-6 with 50/50 mix (Not turned on yet)
Grimmspeed 3 port
Omni 4 BAR MAP sensor
Walbro 255
Synchronic Synapse BPV

nice numbers, just wait until you on the meth kit. he will probly gain 50+ whp at the touch of a button. I think he should use 100% VP M1 tho if he wants the most out of it.

Man, it seems like the bbk full is a great option for pumpgas. You and me both were uncertain for sure if we would get 450+ on my hta green on 93octane. The bbk full has def. proven that.

Damn, I havent seen this kind of power on pump with the BBK except for the cars your tuning! Any chance to see some 1/4 mile numbers? Its funny how tuners that I have spoke to always favored other turbos. I have yet to seen a signifcant amount of failures and the numbers seem to be getting beter with this turbo.

Love it too. It's been in since mid 2009 when I returned from Afghanistan and it impressed me from day one.

This is my car and I appreciate Tom posting this and working on my car late last night.

I had a hose split on my original meth kit, was spraying right over the motor onto exhaust manifold, radiator. If it was straight meth, I wouldn't have my Evo right now. I like 50/50.

I'm optimistic that I could at least run a 11.6 with my BBK Full and 100% stock engine/head. I ran an 11.9 on the stock turbo with ~50 less whp on a mustang dyno. The problem is I don't want to grenade my stock clutch just yet. lol The BBK Full is a great little bolt on. I've had mine for about 6 months now, and it's running strong.
