But you will not see the full potential of the TBE until you get it tuned. A TBE/fuel pump/boost controller and a tune is one of the best and most common first round of mods for a EVO.

thanks for the info, im actually needing a new fuel pump soon.. any brands to suggest??? ive been told boost controllers are bad tho

All that talk about what is or what isn't a real turbo back exhaust is just semantics. Everybody has their own opinions on what makes a TBE. Regardless, you have a free flowing full exhaust except the aftermarket O2 housing. It's looks like a good setup for the price. Like said above, you may hit fuel cut. This is because you are opening up the exhaust and are still on the stock O2 housing. A boost controller may not help this. Trying to set it lower doesn't always work. I had this problem when my car was stock aside from the exhaust mod. The boost may still creep in higher rpms. A way to remedy this would be to pull the stock O2 housing and port it out or go with an aftermarket O2 housing. Also port the wastegate flapper hole and the back side of the flapper arm(in the exhaust housing of the turbo) so it will open a little farther. This will let you push more exhaust through the wastegate. With the bigger exhaust you now have so much better flow and less backpressure through the downpipe/exhaust that the wastegate can't hold the boost steady. This will cause your car to cut out at full throttle in higher gears.

The Walbro 255 is the fuel pump most people go with. It is a good price ~$90 on eBay if I remember right and will provide plenty of fuel as you add mods and turn the boost up.

There is nothing wrong with boost controllers. This is one of the first mods most people do. Once you get the car breathing better with intake/exhaust mods, turning up the boost to a safe level will gain additional power. The Hallman MBC is a good boost controller. I bought one for about $75.

Once you get a few mods, then it would be time to get a tune. This will maximize the power gains for the parts you have installed. tscompusa is an awesome tuner. I don't know him personally but I have seen the results on here for a lot of his customers and he can definitely tune and for a reasonable price. A tune will make it feel like you added a bunch more mods.

There is plenty of information on here to answer all your questions. Get friendly with the search button, it will help you pick the best parts and save the most money, you just need to read. Also, look at tuning guides and modification paths so you know which parts to buy next.

If you need any advice, feel free to inbox me on here. I'm always willing to help.

I would go with it too for that price. Just add a cut out for the cat so you can do emissions.
