just checked a few things and i'm going to play around with preload this weekend. i can feel a minimal amount of exhaust gas coming from my o2 dump at idle.

Wow when I saw the graph it looked more like a fp black spool in a 2.0, are you sure there's not something amiss

I knew something was a little off there.

Glad im not the only one that sees a little excessive lag.

I am sure that garbage ebay exhaust manifold is killing a ton of spool. Get a ported stocker and watch that torque climb much earlier.

If your running E85 your tune is all Effed up in the spool area, E85 spools way better at 11.0 and your at 14.+ up until 4300 rpms or so.

And yes double check the actuator, should be seeing 200WHP before 3500 RPM with your setup, Also check your tubular manifold for exhaust leaks.

i gambled on the stock block. i put 3k on it. the heat though got to it in AZ and rod finally snapped.

injen uicp, only that one pipe. rest of the piping is custom so i didnt put a name.

exhaust mani is solid lol i've had that on the car for almost 40k and no problems.

i've only have the car 4 days so working all the bugs out slowly. we have established that it is lagging. i overlooked it.
i was able to turn it 2 times on the actuator. took the nut off and was able to turn it 4 times. took it for a spin and can tell a huge difference already. exhaust gas is not coming out of the o2 dump anymore either. that was a big part of the problem but will get a log to see if other things need to be adjusted.

470lbft.. i don't know if that's as much gambling as it is throwing it away..

anyway im sure cars have survived with that on the stock block. personally im trying to stay under 400lbft on the stock block, but that's completely off topic..

was the wastegate actuator the fix?

that 470tq was from hose to the boost controller not on and spiked to 40psi. other one is where it was at for awhile.

adjusting the preload helped. i may cut a few threads off and see what that does.

you dont have to go ultra tight on preload...just enough so that the arm has to stretch to reach the gate. Mine is barely stretched an 1/8" (hta green also, 18psi wga) and the turbo is quite responsive on my stock 2.0...27psi by 3800 in 3rd.

What are you using for boost control? I don't wanna dis the ebay mani just cus its ebay, but tubular exhaust manis are known for sacrificing a bit of lag for top end. Some of the premier exhaust manifold makers for our cars have spent countless hours perfecting designs to try to give stock-manifold-like spool with increased top. Some have done very well. You know that wherever that ebay mani came from, the same attention to detail most likely was not paid. Again, not bashing just cus its ebay, but in your search to rule out what may be causing the lag...consider it.

Love the setup, peak numbers are fantastic so you're doing something right. Keep us posted on how the spool fix goes

Jason- When i bought my FP 25psi actuator i actually took the nut off, and cut 2-3 thread of depth off so that i could tighten it down more, it made spool very responsive. and helped to hold that boost up top better. i might have some pictures around somewhere.
