yea around 3.2k that is why the TQ hits kind of late. it should be peak tq around 4.2k i think.
To give an idea, I went from stock 8 cams to kelford 272s and picked up 75whp. This was on a fully built 2.3 motor with CNC head, Ported intake/exhaust manifolds, FP black JB and pump gas. Not sure if you would gain that much on EVO 9s but 600+whp is definitely achievable on E85!

im going to do a shep 4.11 final drive when i blow it up
I like the hybrid boost. Working with Tom also and we just switched to gs 3port. I'm on hta green so spool isn't as much of an issue but I'm all about snappy response. I doubt my car is making any more than 360wtq so I'm not too worried about too much tq too early in rpm. Tom mentioned hybrid boost to me...how exactly is it set up?
Awesome results btw...9 cams are pretty impressive. I'd make sure the s3 won't hurt spool cus u have great response and already have good power. S2 would get you close to 600 themselves and we already know they don't hurt spool

I would recommend against the S3s unless you are looking for massive numbers (650whp+) as the S2s are worth their salt for most EVO owners out there. There have been some heated debates recently about the S2s vs. S3s with a 2.4L at "x" power.
For the intake manifold, the Curt Brown extreme ported is great a wonderfully priced.

i feel they are not worth the money at this point, just like my stock intake mani is going great and not showing any signs of holding back power.
i dont mind lose 200-400 rpm spool for 75-100whp ha
yea i am too. will update when i do so. the car is dialed in for the shootout dont wanna play games with it now.
ill take 650whp ha. im deff going with the S3's no question all ready made up my mind. S3's will make more power then S2's end of story "uptop" and on a stock frame turbo n a 2.4L i think the S3's will be very fun !

I am still waiting for your results. Heck, if you do not hurry up, I might have Archie throw in some S3s with Megatron and confirm or deny this myself.

Awesome powerband. Do you by chance have any where the pull was started before 3000rpm? I've been looking at 2.0 vs 2.4 graphs lately and was curious what your off-boost torque is down there.
Thanks for sharing Steve! Badass results for sure. Im gonna share with you guys what it made with 2psi less as well. it started to stop making power after 33 uptop.
Also on mild wgdc there was a pretty severe boost taper, so add 50whp for the 3 port.
The car beat a modded c5 z06 already and a 10 second Porsche that traps 129mph.
heres the Porsche he raced that he beat by 1/2 - 1 car solid.
this car should be interesting at the shootout. i think its gonna hook great and mph great.

Oh, and S3s on a Mivec 2.4L should literally lose 0 spool seeing as the Mivec tables can be manipulated to make up for the bigger cams.
I can't wait to see how much he gains from the S3s.
