Congrats Shane This looks to be a kick-*** combination. I'm definately impressed by the early spool on a 2.0

I'm now thinking about moving up from my fpblack and going to a twin scroll fp3586 on my 2.4.

Yeah, the difference in the exhaust back pressure can have far reaching effects. You can run a cam with more overlap, extending the RPM range at a given boost level. Or up the boost until reversion becomes an issue again. Higher compression ratios like it too.

john very good results!

Why in the last dyno 3586 0.82 a/r ss made less power than 3582 ts?

Maybe less boost?

A 3586 ts will spool similarly than this 3582 ts?

Thanks a lot.

The 86 was running the same boost but the twin scroll allowed me to do a few things I couldnt on my 86 car in that graph. I was down to 9-10* of timing to keep it from knocking where the TS car could run 11-12* at the same boost level. This is most of the power difference as the mods were otherwise pretty close.

Next it seems that if you start a pull with more boost and/or more timing early on it will carry through the pull and just make more power. I think a 3586 in a TS will spool the same and not have any restrictions until higher boost levels. I would be excited to try a 3786 at some point to get the larger twin scroll housing and a larger turbine.

I must say that the anti-surge on this turbo is one of it's best features!

I never see people on here talk about it, but my old 8 turbo would surge all the time when going up hills (when barley pressing the gas). I can't even get this turbo to surge on purpose! Just plain AWESOME
