STM Tuned/Stock VIII

Stock car with the exception of a K&N Air Filter, and Hallman MBC.

Emery at STM tuned the car to 255whp and 260 tq, at around 23psi. On the initial dyno run we noticed that the car was running out of fuel, so they dropped in a Walbro 255 and resumed tuning. The car feels amazing............I can only imagine what it will be like with the exhaust done from top to bottom and another tune.

No dyno sheet unfortunately, but I will make sure that you see one for round 2 after the exhaust is worked. Still making some decisions on what route to go for specific parts, but I am planning on doing the exhaust, cams, and seeing where that puts me. I would love a 350awhp daily driver.

It makes me sick to my stomach how well this car responds to mods, and how cheap it is to go fast, my 4G Eclipse was a money pit.

Nice. You should see if STM will post the sheet. What sort of dyno?

STM has a mustang dyno.

OP, I'm sure the car is a lot smoother now! Decent power too for only 3 mods!

I've always wondered what kind of power an VIII with virtually no go-fast parts would make with a proper tune. Good stuff.

I was actually thinking about how much potential these cars have with just a basic tune. This is a perfect example of that! Nice power for so few mods.

Emery and everyone at STM are an amazing group of people. I would let very few people work on my car and they're one of them that I would. Nice results!!

I would imagine so, as it's not too much different than running a maf setup.

Yeah dude, I'm not sure they save the dyno sheets, I lost the printout I had, but maybe they can give me a duplicate sometime. Car is very strong up top, surprisingly. With cams these things must scream.

PatNY: On a stock ECU Evo, no. Sorry.

Bill: Dyno sheets are no problem.

Prety impressive numbers

This made me so excited for spring! I just did a full 3" catless TBE, Hallman MBC, 9 BOV, and a Walbro 255 on my 05. I'm hoping to get an intake as well before getting a tune at STM.
