Tscomp tuned: VIII built bottom, fp bb blk, 480 on 93

Tom and myself have been working on this tune for a while. We ended up stopping late last year as I was getting boost creep into knock territory. Over the winter I sent out some parts to Curt Brown for porting and this has gotten most of it under control. Here's a list of the mods and graph. The tune is not complete yet as we are switching to a hybrid boost controller setup.

-Built lowerend( J.E. .020 pistons & Oliver I beam rods) Now has around 60k on block.
-Ferrea Double Valve Springs

-Curt Brown ported Intake manifold, throttle body, exhaust manifold, turbine housing, O2 housing.
Fp ball bearing black w/18psi wastegate, Toxifab O2housing, 3" exhaust, ets 3.5 fmic, fp intake, walbro 255 (Modded), fic 1450's, kelford 272's, 3port ebc.
There lots more, but those should be anything really power related.

Tom has been very great and understanding with me. He is truly a pleasure to work with.
-Edwin

Graphs look to be inflated, can you post up a the same logs with a smoothing of 2?

Boost curve looks really wacky too.

Unfortunately I don't have my laptop on me at the moment. However Tom was saying aswell that the curve was weird. That the main reason were going to a hybrid controller setup. Hopefully get the curve to stabilize.

its not inflated based on data i have over here.

the boost curve is crazy because of the o2 dump. before porting i couldn't even keep this car under 30psi. now at least its able to stay semi controlled around 27-28.

once he adds a MBC, it should make the turbo spool sooner and keep the signal away from the WGA which will most likely drop the boost creep issue.

if you seen the wgdc table i had to make to make the boost even do that you wouldn't be questioning anything.

smoothing 1 = 491
smoothing 2 = 487
smoothing 3 = 486
smoothing 4 = 486
smoothing 5 = 485
smoothing 6 = 485

the road could be smoother, but it is what it is. the numbers should be backed up no problem on a real dyno, unless the dyno rooms 80F or unless he dyno'ed down a hill, but i don't think he would do that to me. 28psi is not a little bit of boost either at high RPM for a fp black.

thanks for sharing your results Edwin i appreciate it! Thanks for the kind words also!

once we get the mbc we can do more tuning. also, if you could, find the smoothest road possible in your area like a interstate and do a pull semi on a hill (to assure its not downhill at all) not big but just enough to where you can tell, and then send me that log. im curious what the #'s will be. that's how i do my car in vd.

I usually try to keep my pull to the same street. A mile long straight industrial road. I'll get a interstate pull tomorrow after work for you. Also we and some friends may be setting up a dyno day at a local shop that has a awd dyno. Just nice for comparison.

heres two pulls he did uphill as i requested him to do for reference. he also had 20lb more in the car, but i didn't even add that either.

so that's like a mini stangjet result to back up the original results.

Forsure! I need to pick up a fpr, cop and finish building my double pumper. Then hopefully get a e85 tune from Tom aswell.

Good job Edwin, I know you have been wanting to get your car done for a while, glad to see it came together. I am sure Tom will say the same thing once you go e85 you may want to upgrade your wg spring to keep some of that spool and use that power. Also on a side not sbstar told me to say hey been a while and nice #s.
