help needed ASAP!!!

ok guys so i own a mitsubishi evo 7 and i am from Trinidad and got a major issue that i need some help with ASAP!!

the motor is a 2.0lr
PTE 6266 Dbb
stock intake
ets 4' intercooler
PTE 1200cc injectors
spark tech non cdi system
stock ecu tuned
hallman manual boos controller
bosch o44 fuel pump
aeromotive fuel regulator.

car made 518hp 30psi on VP racing C16

i am having a problem that when shifting gears while racing i am getting a breaking up /hold back while shifting for half second and then the car smooths out after. i changed the sparktech and installed the stock coils with a 22gap on the plugs which are DENSO 8's and installed a grounding kit and the problem is still there...

your help will be greatly appreciated... if there is anything else that you guys need to know about what the car has let me know... thanks

I am not on Facebook so I can't see the vid, but I bet you are floating the valves. Exact same thing happened to me when I had stock springs and revved to 8200. What are your valve springs and what are you revving to? Try lowering your rev limit by 200 rpm and see if that solves it. Worth a try. GL

What are you revving to when this happens?

Hitting the limiter can cause all kinda of havoc on the valvetrain. I whatoilfield suggest pedaling it or doing boost by gear so you aren't banging the limiter.

Also if it is a stock block I would do a compression check. You could have a bent rod.

I would ditch the denso's, switch to ngk and tighten up your gap. 22 is too wide for stock ignition at that power level.

This. I was getting bad blowout at .020, so I gapped down to .016 on the OEM coils. Worked much better.
