thanks guys, this is my car. been a pleasure working with Tom, the tq hit is just sooooo nice

tonight we will see what the 3 port does in series with the MBC.

i really should get a ported intake manifold and TB, might order one after next weekend when i run the car.. i think that would be a good comparison betweem stock manifold and TB vs ported manifold and 65mm TB.

still undecided what to do for a turbo as i sold the hta86 the other day. im really leaning towards a ball bearing black. first i need to run 10s before i swap out turbos.. im just having wayyyy too much fun with the stock turbo for now to change setups

Why would you want to change turbos if you get into the 10's? Seems to me it would already be perfect

Because the stock turbo wont last long at that boost level

It is still plenty of fun, I went through 3 of them

It's nice to see more stock turbo setups getting good results with the S3's

Thats awesome. Small newb question here, you guys keep talking about the longevity of the stock turbo. Is that due to pushing to 35 psi? Im running mine at 30psi and was under the impression I have a fairly reliable setup.

If this was sustainable for the turbo this would be the best street turbo/combo ever.

The turbo killer is a combination of the turbo's exhaust back pressure and turbo shaft speeds that will prematurely kill the turbo. The higher the peak boost, the longer the high shaft speeds are sustained throughout each full pull. Above 6k rpm they will all basically follow the same boost curve so the only concern is the peak boost level. The lower the peak, the less strain on the turbo. 30psi has been proven to show very good longevity and seems to be a good limit for most cars. Like Tom said, this was on 'kill mode' which is a way of disclaiming a bit of excessiveness for longevity lol.
