TSComptuned 2.4LR 6466 Kelford 272 93oct

I just finished up Brian's badass setup on 93oct. Surprisingly it has a lot of stock factory parts! Brian built the entire car himself, and fabricated his own entire turbo kit including the exhaust system along with other stuff im sure im missing.

I was pretty impressed with his results on 93oct, i can't wait to see what it does on E85, which is next.

We just tuned it on wastegate pressure on 93, and didn't plan on really pushing it hard, so we stopped before we even reached detonation. There is more in the car even, but we are going to switch over to E85 now and keep the 93 tune on the conservative / safe side. He railed through the gears multiple times with not a single count of knock in sight + basically stock filtering.

Something that really impresses me is, this car still has Full AC, has a full stereo system + subs, and is not lacking anything really in the luxury department.

You'll notice there is a boost creep at higher rpm, that is mainly why we just left it on wastegate pressure. it touches 28psi at redline area. Where it peaks HP it is around 26psi, so the vehicle is making around 560-570 @ just 26psi. Note the HP drop off, its mostly due to the AFR. The reason i shared the graph as is, is because the car already peaked HP around 6600RPM, so you get the idea of what its doing uptop.

Fuel: 93oct
Loc: FL
ECU: Tephra v7 + speed density

Mods:

03' EVO 8 GSR
2.4LR 10.5:1 (Manley Turbo Tuff / Wiseco HD 1400)
arp L19 headstuds
kelford 272
spoolinup COP
FIC 2150cc inj
Big B Fab Double pumper
Big B Fab 6466 vband .82 a/r & custom top mount manifold
Big B Fab FMIC L 34.00" x H 11.50" x W 3.50"
Big B Fab 2.5" short route uicp
Big B Fab 2.5" licp
Big B Fab 3.5" exhaust aero turbine muffler
44mm tial V44 WG 13 psi large blue spring
50mm tial Q bov
forge unos mbc
omni 4 bar
4" SD intake K&N 4x9 filter
exedy triple

Graph notes that we stopped, which i noted above. As you can see the vehicle responded to a leaner mixture at higher RPM. there is more in the vehicle but the 93oct tune isn't really even going to be ran on this car. Its mainly just to get him around if need be or for long trips. The only thing being done after this post is richening 5k area tad more, and leaning the top end out alittle more to straighten the top end power curve.

Looks like one from frozenboost.com. They are ~50$ and work pretty well.

The car feels really strong for pump. I am even more impressed with the driving characteristics. The cold start is absolutely amazing on top of the idle and cruise.

Tom's SD tune is no joke! E-85 is up next in a few days so stay tuned!

Love reading stuff like that. I pride myself in driveability and every aspect of the car in general!

I just read your post. you said stock unported intake manifold & head? i have it listed as ported. can you check the mod list i posted and let me know what i have wrong?

Thanks Brian.

I am hoping i can squeeze 800whp~ out of it. i guess we will see. Theres another 6466 car i did on a 2.3 that made around 740whp @ 36psi on s2's and he recently switched to s3's. not sure when ill retune that car as the owner gets very busy with his business traveling.

wow this is a clean build i love the thick radiator with this setup. you didnt have to sacrifice cooling to get that pte6466 in there, I think the 6466 seems to be the turbo of choice right now for setups around 800whp and I intend to use one myself! i wonder if you went with a twinscroll t4 mani with 1.15 hotside if the spool would be even better (although its great now) i cant imagine what a ported head and curt brown extreme ported intake mani would do for you!!
