From what I gather, cylinder wall cracking is a non-issue with the 4G64 block.
Buschur claims "We have yet to see a 4G64 block split a cylinder wall and because of this we developed this engine." in the description for his 2.1
Looks good so far. How high will this build rev? Any dyno graphs to redline?

I am doing a 4g64 for my next engine (not by choice id much rather run the 4g63 2.2) and def getting it half filled at the machine shop. not optional for me. I was going to do the 4g63 2.2L first but the damn HD2 pistons are so backordered from wiseco now. it keeps being pushed a month back. it was supposed to be May, now its June. and my R&R rods have yet to arrive for the 4g63 version. I should have just ordered the damn custom pistons again they would have been here by now. I guess Wiseco is making a crapload of sets so its taking forever to complete for them.
Ya i can get one taking it to 8500RPM. I advised him not to really go past 8000 for the majority of the tuning. No point in stressing the engine when i can get my data i need at 8k but ill have him run it out once im done since hes gonna need to pass 8k at the track definitely lol.
edit: no i cant get an accurate rpm signal past 8k sorry (it requires 2byte RPM which i don't feel is accurate). we will need to put it on the dyno for that, unless virtual dyno can do speed without the tq input. i doubt it though.

PLEASE make 700ft lbs of torque that would be killer! i see the fastest setups are all 2.0l but these 2.4l setups with gobs of torque just look like so much fun on the street! do you think this block can handle 8500 revs safely?
we just ran 43psi to redline i am going to make a new thread with his final result once done. otherwise no one will get to see my hard work.
ya but torque will kill the life of the bearings and stress everything attached to the car lol. so i am trying to avoid a lot of torque early.
If I personally owned this car id set the limiter to 8K to keep the sideloading down and prolong the life of the engine.
for sure the 4g64 is one bad *** block as far as being a taller deck and more displacement available.
