EVO 8 GSR SSL FP RED DBB 454/380 VD Do these numbers seem right?

2004 GSR SSL full weight car running on EU 93 Pump Gas.
Self tuned on Ecuflash.

Curious if these Virtual Dyno numbers seem consistent for my mods (see signature) and boost level (peak 27 settling to 24).

I don't get any knock and am contemplating turning the boost up to 30 psi.

Thanks for the input.

VD 440whp 2.3l + Green and lower boost Ron98(93 octane or lower)
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...gear-pull.html

so I believe there is some more power left on the table and you can push it some more. But as far as you are on stock shortblock I wouldn turn the boost any higher at low and mid rpm. Just try to make it hold boost to redline without tapering.

nice #'s. I would say those seem right for your mods/boost level but theres more in there to have.

Thanks for the replies. I will try the suggestion of taking out the boost spike and increasing the overall boost level today.

The only thing that worries me is that 300ft lbs of torque at 13:1 air fuel ratio
Whats your ignition timing in that region? I am guessing around 7-9* btdc?

I would put some more preload in the wastegate to help it spool up better, and fatten the fuel up in the low range. You can def get it to hold boost better up top. Also, rev it out some more

At peak torque timing is 7*. I have richened it some and have it at 12:1 at peak load and same timing creeping up to 10 - 11* at 7600 with fuel sloping to 10.8:1. When I richened it up I lost about 15 whp but torque stayed at 370.

I worry about the preload because my boost controller is showing it spiking to 29 - 30 psi. It doesnt show in the log, I believe because I have the boost selenoid connected to the turbo outlet rather than the manifold. I know to use what the omni is reading at the manifold so it should be ok if I give it a turn or 2. Just dont want that potentially fatal spike of torque.

I will try the preload and think I will swap the inputs for my boost gauge, which is on the manifold with the boost controller on the turbo outlet. It should make things easier for the boost controller to control boost at the manifold. I will put up another run and see if it changes anything.

Thanks for the input everyone.

Ok. So I changed the routing to the intake manifold and set the wastegate preload all the way. Now I spike to 28 psi and then it falls off to 23 psi. You can see the torque fall with boost and the hp flatline. Still makes 452 hp and 372ft lbs but definently has lots more power if I can get it to hold 28 psi to redline. Full Spool still is at 4500 rpm. Any suggestions?

Holding Boost better but got some knock this time. I am going to richen it up some more on spool and probably disable lean spool. This time I hit 454 hp and 380 ft lbs. at max of 27.5 psi. It is getting there but I think there is still room for more power. Spool is somewhat better and this log shows a much better pull.

^^In the last graph you hit near 10.0:1 AFR. Dial in fuel to make sure you don't go under 10.8:1. No reason to richen it more than that. Also flatten your boost more than that: Play with your EBC to see if it could be better. It peaks, drops, then raise then tapers (that can create knock, and also can create timing variations which will cause knock).

A log of this event, and timing map would help if you mind.

Hi OP the best thing to do is disable Lean spool. Next you should make your fueling consistent it should stay between 11.6 to 11.2 til the top. Also in the wastegate tables try to turn correction off for now. It seems like this might be causing your boost to go crazy and not stay stable.

The best was to Dial in boost is make the entire wastegate Duty cycle the same. Lets say 60% all the way in the RPM.. then slowly add duty where needed. This will help you get a nice curve in.

Once you are done Adjust the correction tables and the Load/boost target tables.
