thinking of taking my car to Buschur for a tune.

hey guys

i have a evo 9 RS full bolt ons 272 cams (ARP head studs) 1000CC injectors 255 fuel pump stock turbo stock motor

im gonna get a dual map tune 91-93 road tune and an E85 tune

ive heard positive things but i just want to make sure im making the right decision.

please give me your input

this will be a 21 hour round trip for the tune so i want to make sure i pick the right shop.

Boostin is also an option but they told me they need the car for 2 full days for a dual map tune

AMS doesn't seem like their interested and keep telling me to go to boostin and they wont tune a dual map on the stock ECU

help me guys

Thanks

My opinion, dont drive anywhere and contact tom from tscomptuned for a remote tune.

Buschur is a well respected shop and I'm sure you'd get a get tune but that is a helluva long way to have to drive!

I also second the remote tune idea. but if you have a shop thats way closer than 21 hrs then get with them and see what they will do for you.

tune

Boostin performance in Chicago has a great reputation. Is it a shorter drive if you go around the top?

Aaron @English can set you up with a pretty nasty remote tune. However, YOU need to make sure the car is in proper tuning condition beforehand, which is the trouble with remote tunes a lot of the time.

I would go to a dyno shop. I hated remote tune. Boostin performance would be a good place.

Remote tune is great. You can do a remote boost leak test while youre at it

Remote tuning sucks, I've done it many times. You really can't go wrong with any of the three. But I would go with boostin, if they want your car for two days, sounds like they are really going to go through it and make sure it runs perfect!

If you are mechanically inclined and your car is bolted together correctly remote tune is great. If you can't diagnose or repair issues if the come up then a tune at a shop is a good idea. However if something comes up during a remote tune you can put it on hold and fix it then finish up. A mechanical issue during a live tune either ruins the day or you end up with a big repair bill.
