thinking of taking my car to Buschur for a tune.
I used buschur before when i was on an fp white and stock block. Dave did great. Flash forward a year i took it there with a br built 2.0 ff 6266 on 40lbs dave only achieved 580 hp. I took it to boostin and he made 684 on 38lbs both mustang dynos both.tuned in the.same.gear. my opinion boostin has way.better customer service and are better to deal with.
I'd have to also recommend tom from TSCOMP. the only thing is you won't be tuned right away and a remote tune is a process. But it's well worth the money and tom's knowledge surpasses any tune I've had the experience of viewing. He is also a very understanding person so if your **** doesn't work, fix it and continue no problem.
Also you have to be very pro active and make sure you take ALL the necessary steps to make sure your car is perfect before any tune.

Im going to agree with 2 of the 3. Tom or boostin. Tom helped me remote tune my evo with my fp green setup did a really good job. It all depends on how extensive of a tume you wqnt and whqt are your goals. Also having thebdyno paperwork is always a plus.

boostin has finished my car and im picking it up soon.
i guess the map from buschur was for a stock map sensor when im running a 3 bar map sensor. i mentioned that to him a few times before and during the tune.
devon also found a boost leak in the cylinder one injector.
Buschur cost me alot of money and time. should have head to boostin from the beginning.
i guess he builds great motors though. just telling you my experience you can make your own choice
This seems to be a common problem with everyone who mods their car these days. You paid Buschur for a tune. Not anywhere in there do I see that you asked him for a boost leak test or to diagnose any issues with your car. You asked for a service, to which he provided you with. One would think that before they decide to trailer their car hours away for a tune that they would make sure the car is 1000000% ready to be tuned considering the cost. Why should dave not get paid when his calendar was cleared for him to tune your car. Should he not get any money because of something that was your fault and not his? Did you ask if his mechanics could look at your car while it was there and tell him you'd pay for that service to be done? I hate seeing threads like this because 99% of the time its the OP making themselves look like nothing was their fault. I'm not saying boostin performance or any other tuner is bad, but i'm sure they've experienced this as well with customers. It's never the car owners fault......

yes i asked for help. i installed new injectors before heading down to his shop. I asked his mechanic to look them over as he was also installing a switch on the car for a dual map tune.
i asked him if he had someone who could look at the car for me and i would pay to have the car fixed he said yes but they couldnt get to it for months.
im sorry sir but what you stated is wrong. im not bashing anyone just putting out my experience i was backing buschur until he wouldnt respond to my emails the morning after the tune. his customer service after the tune was terrible thats all im stating.
that and i recieved a stock map tune when i stated i had a 3 bar map sensor which is what caused the problem from the beggining
Did you communicate to Dave in any way what map sensor you were using? And it's funny you say Dave doesn't communicate well because I've sent him pm's on several occasions before I ever bought anything from him at all and he was VERY helpful and continues to be post purchase as well. I think that's pretty astounding considering he didn't tune my car, although I do have emery and the crew at STM take up that duty and they work with Dave as well. Communication goes both ways and while I was not there when you took your car you should have been very informative on what was done and what parts you changed etc, sensors included.

I'm not trying to bash Buschur. His record speaks for itself! He clearly knows what he's doing but it sounds like he dropped the ball on this one. People make mistakes, stuff happens. I've only been around the Evo scene for a few years but yea... tuner shop fan bois crack me up
As a shop/dyno owner I can tell you gentlemen this, the reason for remote tune to be cheap because those tuners have almost next to nothing for overhead. You actually do more work than the tuner, ie logging, driving, up load calibration, risking tickets/accident, and send your tuner the logs. All the tuner has to do is view the log, make change on the cal and send it back to you. Now when you own a dyno and a shop, the tuner has to do everything as above minus the part of driving around. So you guys think that buschur shouldn't charge the op? even though he probably spent about at least 30 mins to strap the car down on the dyno, hook up the dyno wideband, and start tuning to find voltage issue? A tuning shop can perform a visual inspection, things like charge piping, vac lines, boost controller are easy enough to inspect with eyes. But there's no way buschur could've forsee a voltage problem. A tuner job is to tune your car, that is IT, he's not there to fix your couplers when it blew off every 2 runs or diagnose your fuel issue why it's running lean.
last post on this.
before making an appointment i had to email dave with a list of mods on my car he had no problem with the car and said he could tune it.
There was no voltage issue at all the reason he couldn't control fuel was because he wasnt tuning it on the 3 bar map sensor from what i understand. boostin didnt find a voltage problem and had no issues.
he responded to emails first one i sent and the last 2 but some how he "missed" the emails where i was having problems and needed help he said he never got them. same address nothing changed.
Buschur is a great shop im sure you dont get that big without doing great work.
I got unlucky and i guess caught him on a bad day.
i wont suggest anyone using him from my personal experience.
