Buschur 2.3L RPM + BBK-B BB + E85
Thanks Zhong
I think this BBK-B is well suited to the 2.3 10:1 Buschur 2.3RPM motor.
I do suspect that the BBk-Full would perform equally well as this reasonably conservative tune, perhaps present some more restriction at the top end and higher EGT with that, but running 3 hot laps I don't believe that would be a problem.
I think also that the BBK-B is performing unusually well at the bottom, compared to what I've observed until now, in part perhaps due to the 10:1 and 2.3?
Would like to see the 91 map tune, it would be a very interesting cocktail of 10:1 with moderately large turbo. If it can take enough timing in low rpm it would really prove Mr. Buschurs claim that 10:1 is no problem on 91 or 87 even. I 've never seen pump gas dyno of stock-frame on high compression, conservative tune.
Now inspect before each run the engine overall, and check oil, to ensure this is the last motor you need next 2-3 successful racing years.

That full torque hit at around 3300, to me, means this is the perfect street turbo (for what I am looking for). I have some 9.75:1 MIL.SPEC pistons looking for a short block lol...they've been waiting 2 years
I was surprised that I hit max torque before 3500rpms. If I went with a bigger turbo (FP HTA Black or Borgwarner 8374) and lets say have max torque at 4200rpms...wow. Imagine all the topend grunt at 30-32psi. I am usually 95% above 4500-5000rpms anyway on the track. With so much power, I think traction coming off a turn will be the next issue/weak link. Need some meaty sticky 285s...then that causes stress on oiling system (especially high g/high speed right handers/high rpm).
No problem Ivica.
Erik, car feels awesome. In LA stop and go (literally) Traffic kinda sucks though as would all turbos. lol. I have my fun at the meter lights.
rev out each gear to 7k. hahahaha.

Thanks. I got almost the exact same dyno plots (and numbers) when I dynoed my Evo on ER's DJ in 3rd gear and Surgeline's MD in 4th gear (within a few days of each other in similar weather), so this gives me a better idea of what I might expect from this turbo on a DJ.
Looks great for that boost level Zhong.
For reference, you probably remember this one. 2.3L, BBK-B, set on street kill, bit more boost then you are running, 3rd and 4th gear

We ran reds on both the Redline TA Evo 9's and we kept melting the turbines and ruining race days, so yea, they left a bad taste in my mouth
FPgreen is probably the best turbo they make, for a street car.
Hey was busy with Super Lap Battle at Buttonwillow Raceway Park this past Thur. I ended up getting 5th place in Limited AWD Class with a 1:53.396. Tires were NT01s 275/40/17s.
Here is the hot lap. It was on the high boost map of 27psi peak and then gradual taper down to redline. There was another 1.5s in the car easily as is. Wished for more rotation.

My class was stacked with REALLY fast drivers/cars. Super Lap Battle event was my first event after getting all the new aero/suspension work/engine in the car from the incident the month before. Not bad for a shakedown day. I was aiming for 5th and got it. 4th place was within reach. So close to 52s. AWD Street Class was insane. Those top 2 cars both destroyed the previous lap record by over 1.5s and on a smaller 255 tire. Both the drivers are fast and cars were well setup and balanced.

After seeing the competition within which you performed, I am impressed.
Seasoned race teams with optimized setups, and an enthusiast with passion driving his only DD/Track car.
Awesome
Did you change suspension components?
Just servicing and repairing or upgraded for more grip?
Would like to know what. I suspect Robi aligned the chassis after sorting repairs?
