Cobb ap with custom tune?
Cobb ap with custom tune?
If I were to get a custom tune through a cobb ap, will I still be able to reflash the ECU to stock? If so, is it worth going through both the cobb ap and a custom tune to prevent my warranty from voiding?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Hey man.
For starters, this is the incorrect place to ask about COBB APs on your X. This is for dyno tuning results for Evo 1-9 only. You'll want to head over here for AP questions:

But, to answer your question, Accessports have a stock tune on them. You can always flash back to a stock ROM. However, as soon as you reflash the ECU or add any non-OEM parts to your car, your warranty is void. If you are going to have warranty work done, you'd have to put the entire car, including ECU (and SST TCM if you have an MR) back to stock before you head in to the dealer. If that's not acceptable to you, then hold off on modding until it is.
